BRITISH MUSEUM TIME?

This is going up a little late, but yesterday we went romping through the British Museum! My previous knowledge of the British Museum is that it's the place where everything that any english person ever found in Egypt has ended up. However it contains more than just mummies(lots of them). It also contains artifacts from virtually every civilization world wide. Lots of ancient greek statues, which are honestly quite boring and all the same, lots of sanskrit, pretty neat stuff from europe in the middle ages, and yet more sanskrit.

It was pretty impressive.

YES. IT'S THE ROSETTA GOSH-DARNED STONE. The video I have of it isn't all that impressive because the thing was surrounded by french people who liked to get up really close to the glass and then just stand there. I thought the manual-zooming-in-and-out would help to impress upon you viewers that this, this, is the Rosetta. Stone.

I have some friends who may find this painting to appear STRANGELY familiar...
